Celebrity doppelgangers document their love lives in new reality series

Celebrity lookalikes who have taken on the personas of Kim Kardashian, Beyoncé, Marilyn Monroe, and Barbie, are documenting their complicated love lives in a new reality series.   

Look Alike Love follows Los Angeles-based impersonators Jennifer Ward, Yuriel Michell’e, Jasmine Chiswell, and Nannette Hammond as they try to balance their personal relationships with their desire to transform into their favorite stars. 

‘I’m the number one Kim Kardashian lookalike,’ Ward says in the trailer for the show, which premieres on Lifetime on Wednesday, July 7.  

Ward has dedicated her life to looking like the brunette reality star, but her family isn’t impressed. They miss the old Jen, but she’s not the only one who has taken their celebrity obsessions to the extreme. 

Michell’e, a transgender drag performer, wants to become the top Beyoncé lookalike in the world, while Chiswell purchased Marilyn’s old home and believes the ill-fated actress communicates with her. 

And Hammond has spent roughly $1 million on plastic surgery to transform herself into Barbie, the most famous doll in the world. 

Jennifer Ward:  Kim Kardashian Lookalike 

Ward, 29, has developed a full-blown obsession with Kim Kardashian over the years and spends thousands of dollars on hair, makeup, and clothes to look just like the curvy star.

The professional makeup artist and beauty influencer has nearly 90,000 Instagram followers and has dubbed herself the ‘number one Kim Kardashian lookalike.’ 

In the preview clip for the show, Ward tells her husband that she has made an appointment with a plastic surgeon.   

‘I have the booty, I have the hourglass shape, but my stomach, it’s just not there,’ she explains in her testimonial. 

Ward was bullied as a child, and her transformation began years ago when she started her fitness journey with the help of her high school sweetheart-turned-husband. 

Emulating the world’s most famous reality star has helped boost Ward’s confidence, but it has also caused a rift with her family, who doesn’t approve. 

‘I just don’t want you to turn into this big superstar and leave him behind,’ one of her family members tells her in the trailer. ‘This is an unhealthy obsession.’

Ward insists she’s ‘not obsessed,’ but her words fall on deaf ears. 

‘You used to look like Jen and now you look like Kim Kardashian,’ her loved one hits back. 

Yuriel Michell’e: Beyoncé Lookalike 

Michell’e, 34, started to notice her uncanny resemblance to Beyoncé when she transitioned from male to female.  

‘As far as hormones go, I do an injectable, and I also do a pill,’ she explains on the show, saying it’s ‘the cost of being a woman.’ 

Michell’e is working to become the number one Beyoncé lookalike in the world, and she is well on her way to achieving her goal. 

The drag performer, whose stage name is Michell’e, can’t walk down the street without people stopping her and asking if she’s Queen Bey. Even the paparazzi have mistaken her for the famous singer.

Michell’e, who has more than 90,000 Instagram followers, takes advantage of the resemblance whenever she can, often getting her meals and club covers comped. 

‘Every man on the planet has a fantasy of f**king B, and I’m the closest thing they’re gonna get,’ she boasts. 

The Beyoncé doppelgänger works as a hairstylist by day, but she dreams of finding fame as a rapper and touring the world as Michell’e. 

Unfortunately, her larger-than-life aspirations seem to be negatively affecting her love life. The reality show’s trailer shows her arguing with her partner, telling him that she wants him to be with her.    

‘That takes time; that takes preparation. You’re expensive,’ he replies, prompting her to storm away into her bedroom. 

‘Just leave!’ she yells.   

Jasmine Chiswell: Marilyn Monroe Lookalike 

Chiswell, 27, took her love for Old Hollywood to the next level three years ago when she started transforming herself into Marilyn Monroe. 

The Scottish YouTuber’s spot-on impersonation and vintage clothing have turned into a social media star with a dedicated following. 

Chiswell, who has 11.9 million TikTok followers, has even inspired her husband, Maverick, to wear vintage clothing, making them an even more striking pair. 

The couple actually lives in Marilyn and Joe DiMaggio’s former Los Angeles home, and Chiswell claims to have communicated with the blonde bombshell’s ghost.

According to the influencer, Marilyn has whispered makeup tricks to her while she is getting ready, and in the trailer, she brings in a medium to investigate. 

‘I believe that you are probably possessed by Marilyn Monroe,’ the expert says. 

Chiswell’s career as an influencer is booming, and she hopes to one day create her own vintage makeup line complete with vintage packing.

However, she suspects something is going on with her husband, who is being too secretive for her liking.     

‘It’s just weird because we’ve been married for two years and I’ve never met any of your friends,’ she tells Maverick in one scene. 

‘I am worried that he is hiding something,’ she explains in her testimonial.  

Nannette Hammond: Barbie Lookalike 

Hammond, 47, has always wanted to be Barbie, and she has been undergoing procedures to transform herself into the plastic doll for the past two decades. 

Not only does the former Playboy model look like a real-life Barbie, but she also lives her extravagant lifestyle with the support of her husband and six kids. 

Hammond has a Barbie pool, a pink gym, several Barbie closets, a glam room, a pool house, and a pink Barbie convertible. 

‘I’m a living doll. I cook, I clean, and I come with six kids,’ she jokes in the trailer, admitting her desire to look like the iconic doll is an ‘obsession.’  

She has spent roughly $1 million on plastic surgeries, cosmetic procedures, and filler maintenance to replicate Barbie — and she has no plans to stop. 

‘I’ve had a lot of surgeries and there’s way more to come,’ she notes, telling her friends: ‘I’ve committed to get my face done, my woo done, and my booty done in three months.’ 

However, her husband is less than pleased about her plans to go under the knife yet again, especially since she didn’t run it by him first. 

‘My mind is blown right now,’ he admits. ‘These are big, life-changing events.’
