Celebrate Shark Week by wearing a high-tech helmet and swimming with a nurse shark at Discovery Cove

Orlando, Florida — This is the way to celebrate Shark Week.

Discovery Cove in Orlando has expanded two thrilling attractions at its interactive resort. Both are great for the whole brave family.

“Swim with sharks” Place the snorkeler in the water with more than 20 sharks, including a very beautiful (and very large) nurse shark. The experience starts at $ 129 per person.

“Here at Discovery Cove, we celebrate Shark Week all year round,” says zoological curator Dennis Sweder. “Our goal is to educate our guests about shark protection and why they are protected in the natural environment.”

“Sea Venture” Anyone can become an underwater explorer without the need for scuba diving certification. Using a high-tech diving helmet, guests take a 20-minute “walking tour” on the Grand Reef and mix with 7,000 individual animals. The adventure begins at $ 49 per person.
