St. Clair Township
–Police investigated a pickpocketing complaint at 4:10 p.m. Friday at Tractor Supply that turned out to be unfounded.
–Mark Smith, no address listed, was arrested at 2:15 a.m. Thursday in the 16000 block of Irish Ridge Road on a charge of domestic violence.
–An officer responded at 1:28 a.m. Wednesday to Gretchen’s Lock to check on a suspicious vehicle at the memorial of Pretty Boy Floyd. The subjects reported that it was his family’s original farm and they were just checking out the memorial.
–While on patrol, an officer assisted with a traffic stop that netted several drug items. About 20 minutes later, an ambulance had to be called as one of the officers wasn’t feeling well. He was treated and released.
–The night manager at Taco Bell reported at 2:51 a.m. Wednesday that she received a suspicious call and requested extra checks around closing.
–Police investigated a verbal domestic at 5:07 a.m. Nov. 22 in the 16000 block of Irish Ridge Road.
–A female complainant reported at 7:03 a.m. Nov. 22 that she believed her ex-boyfriend stole her cell phone.
–William Hart, no address listed, was arrested at 7:56 p.m. Nov. 22 on state Route 7, after a routine L.E.A.D.S. check. According to the report, Hart was stopped after the officer found that the plate wasn’t registered to any vehicle in the state of Ohio. After running Hart, who only possessed an ID card, through dispatch, he was discovered to have an active warrant through East Liverpool Municipal Court. While inventorying Hart’s vehicle prior to being towed, the officer returned to his cruiser and found a plastic bag with residue behind where Hart was sitting. Upon checking Hart’s mouth, the officer noticed two white round objects under his tongue and ignored the officer’s commands to spit them out, instead swallowing them. After transporting Hart to East Liverpool City Hospital since he ingested something and advising him that he would be charged with felony escape if he left, approximately 10 minutes later, Hart fled the hospital. East Liverpool police would later respond around 9:36 p.m. to search a riverbank near state Route 39, where Hart had been observed jumping a fence. Neither department could locate Hart.
–Tia Miller, no address listed, was cited at 3:50 p.m. Nov. 22 with driving under suspension and expired registration, after a routine L.E.A.D.S. check.
–A theft was reported at 10:29 a.m. Nov. 22 from Endless Tan. No other information was available in the report.
–Kayla Wheeler, no address listed, was arrested at 7:46 p.m. Nov. 20 in the 16000 block of Vale Street on charges of falsification and making false alarms, after alleging that she had been assaulted by a male subject who stole her four-wheeler out of Beaver, Pa. police jurisdiction. She claimed that the subject held her against at gunpoint for two days, eventually admitting that she filed a false report regarding the incident after the four-wheeler was discovered in the subject’s garage.
–An officer was dispatched to investigate a domestic at 3:04 a.m. Nov. 20 in the 46000 block of Walker Road. No other information was available in the report.
–There were no citations noted on the report, after Greg Shive, of Garfield Street in Lisbon, backed out of a driveway and struck a vehicle owned by Breanne Montero, which was parked on the side of the road against the traffic at 7:10 p.m. Nov. 15.
–A deer ran out in front of a vehicle driven by Sarah Guthrie, of Rubicon Street, at 5:44 p.m. Nov. 16 in the area of Longs Church Road and Berkshire roads, striking it.
–Police responded to a crash shortly after midnight Nov. 16 in the area of Calcutta Smith Ferry and Valley roads, after Rebekah E. Kyler, of Carmel Achor Road in Negley, allegedly failed to yield the right of way at the intersection, causing her to strike James R. Merritt of Midland, Pa. and cause it to roll over onto its roof before coming to rest approximately 100′ from the site of impact. No citations were noted on the report.
–A deer struck a vehicle driven by Samantha Dawson, of Annesley Road, at 6:25 p.m. Nov. 17 in the area of Y&O Road and state Route 267 when they were traveling to pick up a pizza.
–A deer struck a vehicle driven by Kaydon Bobby, of Coolidge Avenue, at 4:53 p.m. Nov. 18 in the area of Bell School and Birch roads.
–Ronald S. Coleman, of Stagecoach Road, allegedly was at fault when he drove his vehicle from McDonalds at 5:12 p.m. Tuesday and attempted to make a left turn to enter state Route 170 and struck Chelsie R. Wright, of St. Clair Avenue. No specific citations were noted on the report.
–Deborah D. Conkle, of Duke Vodrey Road, reported at 6:40 p.m. Wednesday that she was driving across state Route 170 and was struck by an unknown driver, who fled the scene, shortly before she drove to the police station to file the report.
–Brandon Moore, no address listed, was arrested at 7:20 p.m. Nov. 19 in the area of Y&O Road and Martha Street on a charge of OVI, after being involved in a two-vehicle crash. He exhibited signs of alcohol intoxication, failed field sobriety tests and refused a breath tests. In addition, an open 24-pack of beer, missing multiple cans, was discovered down an embankment near the crash scene with multiple cans (both open and unopened) directly by his passenger door.
–Police performed a welfare check at 5:35 a.m. Nov. 19 at Sheetz on a female passed out behind the wheel of a vehicle at a gas pump. She eventually made her way into the store and appeared to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
–Kirsten Burbick, no address listed, was cited at 4:43 p.m. Nov. 18 in the first block of East Liverpool Road on a charge of driving under suspension.
Salem
–A Youngstown man filed a complaint at 12:41 a.m. Sunday regarding possible phone harassment.
–A noise complaint was filed at 1:50 a.m. Sunday in the 400 block of South Lincoln Avenue regarding a couple arguing as they walked northbound. They were advised of the city’s noise ordinance.
–Several vehicles were egged sometime after 9 p.m. Friday and before noon Saturday in the 1000 block of Hawley Avenue.
–A juvenile complaint was reported at 10:22 p.m. Saturday in the 600 block of East Ninth Street.
–Elizabeth G. Elias, no address listed, reportedly struck a parked Honda Accord owned by Blake Reynolds sometime before 12:37 p.m. Saturday in the 2300 block of East State Street.
–A runaway juvenile was reported at 4:54 p.m. Saturday in the 600 block of East Sixth Street. The daughter who wore an ankle bracelet for a prior charge through the county juvenile court was located and returned to the Tobin Center.
–A assault between a father-daughter is under investigation, after a report was received regarding the incident at 10:29 p.m. Saturday from the Salem Regional Medical Center emergency room.
–A parking complaint was investigated at 1:23 p.m. Saturday in the 500 block of East State Street.
–An officer responded at 5:22 p.m. Saturday to the intersection of Lincoln Avenue and 14th Street, where a motorist had stopped to remove ammunition from the roadway that had spilled from a passing vehicle. The ammo was gathered and taken to the police station, where it was noted that a majority of it had been deformed from its encounter with other vehicles.
–A runaway male juvenile was reported shortly after midnight Saturday in the area of the dog park, when an officer stopped a suspicious vehicle who advised him of their plight. They along with the boy’s guardian were advised to contact police if he returned home.
–An incident of public urination by an individual and on the floor of a business was reported at 10:20 a.m. Saturday in the 1000 block of East State Street.
East Liverpool
–Police responded at 12:22 a.m. Nov. 23 to the 800 block of Green Lane to investigate a disturbance between a man and his wife. It was only verbal.
–Officers spoke to two males at 6:07 p.m. Nov. 23 in the 700 block of Dresden Avenue in reference to a road rage incident.
–A welfare check was performed at 11:28 p.m. Nov. 22 in the 300 block of North Shadylane for a woman who was behaving strangely. According to the report, the caller allegedly the woman said that she is waiting at home for Barack Obama and 50 Cent to come and hang out with her. She was not at the specified address but found elsewhere and she said that she was fine.
–Officers investigated a pursuit involving a black Audi at 5:20 p.m. Nov. 22 in the area of Bradshaw Avenue. According to the report, the vehicle, which had dark tinted windows and no visible registration, had left a known College Street drug location. The officer stopped the vehicle near Giant Eagle. Instead of parking in the lot, the vehicle pulled in to let its rear male and female passengers out before fleeing towards Minerva Street. After racking up several traffic violations on its way to Third and Jackson street, where it struck a vehicle, the driver exited his ride and proceeded to run north through the woods towards O’Reilly’s Auto Parts and West Fourth Street. Eventually another passenger Darren Boatwright was located near the vehicle and in possession of a loaded Glock in the front waistband of his pants. A white iPhone was located on the driver’s side of the vehicle and taken for evidence with no other contraband being found.
–A female resident of the 400 block of Vine Street reported at 2:44 a.m. Nov. 22 that it sounded like someone was on her front porch. Nothing was found, but she was advised to call if she heard anything again.
–A male subject reported at 1:09 a.m. Nov. 22 that he was being harassed and threatened by a known male subject.
–A Daisy Lane male reported at 2:02 a.m. Nov. 21 that his 9mm handgun came up missing off his night stand and wanted to report it stolen.
–Vincent Boyle, no address listed, was arrested at 4:09 a.m. Nov. 21 on a charge of burglary, after he was discovered sleeping on the couch of a residence in the 600 block of Minerva Street. Boyle was unknown to the resident and allegedly had broken through the glass window pane to enter the structure. Upon contact with officers, Boyle explained that he had fled his Ravine Street home “to practice for the zombie apocalypse when (his) friend started to chase him along with other people who was outside (down the street),” entering the Minerva Street property to get warm. The resident discovered Boyle on his couch when he got up for work. Boyle also was arrested on several Columbiana County warrants and turned over to the sheriff’s office.
–A female complainant reported at 8:49 p.m. Nov. 21 in the 1800 block of Dakota Street that she was being harassed by another woman.
–Police were dispatched at 6:33 p.m. Nov. 21 to the 800 block of Cadmus Street for a possible breaking and entering.
–A welfare check was performed at 9:05 p.m. Nov. 21 on a male resident and a juvenile of the 400 block of Wilbert Avenue. Upon entering with the assistance of Columbiana Metropolitan Housing Authority management, the man was found sleeping on his couch as a juvenile slept in his bed. While inside the apartment, the man’s legs were observed to be covered with bedbug bites and there was bugs all through the apartment. This report was forwarded to Child Protective Services.
–Police took a criminal damaging report at 3:12 a.m. Nov. 21 from the 200 block of Henry Avenue, where an identified man had been calling the residents threatening property damage. A short time later, officers returned after the man allegedly returned and kicked in the door. The subject was stopped in a white full-size truck near Henry Avenue and Davis Street, where he said that much of the dispute has to do with property he recently purchased and denied kicking in the door. Video footage from a security camera supports the complainants’ version of the subject kicking in the door, and they were asked to forward said footage so criminal charges could be filed against the subject.
–A woman refused to prosecute her daughter, whom she alleged had dumped lighter fluid all over her and through the interior of her house during a dispute at 8:15 p.m. Nov. 21 in the 1100 block of Lisbon Street.
–A juvenile reported at 5:51 p.m. Nov. 20 that he arrived at his home in the 800 block of Cadmus Street to hear someone having a conversation in his basement. Upon contact with the occupants, the mother, who had just gotten back from a gas station, reported that someone was trying to kick her basement door open and fled before making entry. Police told them if they had any more issues to call officers back after checking the home.
–Sean C. Watkins, of Woodlawn Street, was served at 11:05 a.m. Nov. 23 with two felony warrants in Pennsylvania and is currently being held on a fugitive from justice charge in East Liverpool.
–An alleged assault involving juveniles at Heights Manor was reported at 3:29 a.m. Saturday.
–Police investigated a white van parked on the sidewalk in the 800 block of West Ninth Street at 11:53 p.m. Friday. Upon subject, the female occupant claimed that she had a female friend in the area being held against her will. She passed field sobriety tests and was told to move along.
–There was a flagger mishap that caused a two-vehicle crash at 10:31 a.m. Nov. 16 near Harvey and Putnam Streets, resulting in damage to vehicles driven by Richard S. Thomas, of Canton, and Marcie J. Oakes, of Michigan Avenue.
–Carl E. Gill, of Walker, La., was cited at 8:50 p.m. Nov. 17 for failure to maintain reasonable control, after the combination vehicle he was driving failed to safely negotiate a turn at Vine and Pennsylvania and struck a sandstone retaining wall and continued westbound until being stopped by police.
–Nicholas R. Paxson, of Whinnery Road in Hanoverton, was traveling north on state Route 11 at 2:49 a.m. Nov. 19 when a deer entered the roadway, striking his vehicle.
Perry Township
— North Canton police asked township officers at 9:35 p.m. Thursday to check the 1200 block of West State Street for a red Honda allegedly involved in a hit/skip in North Canton. The vehicle wasn’t found.
— Police responded at 4:48 a.m. Thursday to state Route 9 near the Saxon Club for a traffic crash. A utility pole was broken and the driver reported being stuck in the vehicle due to the airbags deploying, but not being seriously hurt. Perry Township fire and an ambulance responded with KLG transporting the driver to a hospital. Sinsley Towing removed the vehicle.
— Police were called at 2:56 p.m. Wednesday to the 1000 block of Elberon Avenue for a suspicious person on a property without permission. The residence was found secure. The male in question was identified as another Elberon Avenue resident who said his drone flew onto the property and he went to retrieve it. He was told to stay on his own property.
— A caller at 7:43 p.m. Tuesday reported a suspicious male walking on Georgetown Road just outside the township near Hartley Road. The male told police he was walking home.
— A possible fight was reported at 3:19 p.m. Tuesday in the 1100 block of Prospect Street. A father was there to retrieve property from his daughter’s boyfriend. Police were able to get the property back for the father.
— A suspicious vehicle was reported sitting along the road with a male sitting in it at 2:14 p.m. Tuesday on Goshen Road at the U.S. Route 62/state Route 45 bypass. Officers made contact and learned the male was working as a private investigator.
