Michelle Obama leaves uptown NYC hotel where 39th floor presidential suite costs $30,000 A NIGHT

Former First Lady Michelle Obama was seen leaving the swanky Pierre Hotel on Manhattan’s Upper East Side, where the presidential suite goes for a staggering $30,000 a night, early Saturday morning.

Rooms at the Pierre, which sits on the east side of Central Park South, start at a hefty $1,000 a night. One of their four varieties of suites cost upwards of $3,000 a night, and a ‘Deluxe Grand Suite’ can set you back a whopping $7,500 a night.

Other, larger, suites in the hotel are so exclusive that prices are not listed on their website, where it indicates you must call the establishment which opened its doors in 1930 in order to book the room.

The presidential ‘Tata Suite’ spans the hotel’s entire 39th floor and offers up to six bedrooms for guests.

‘Our spectacular Tata Presidential Suite is perched at the top of The Pierre’s iconic tower. Boasting soaring views of Central Park and Manhattan, this crown jewel residence is the ultimate in Manhattan living,’ according to Pierre’s website.

‘The bespoke design blends creamy neutrals with shimmering metallics and gleaming marble. Offering complete privacy, the Tata Suite can connect to 4 additional Park View rooms and suites to complete the entire floor.’

Obama exited her high-end stay dressed casually in high-waisted wide leg light wash denim jeans, a short-sleeve white tee and a pair of stylish sneakers, the former First Lady was seen around 8:30 am stepping into a car.

She appeared relaxed as one of her assistants and her security team stood by. Officers from the NYPD allowed her motorcade to cut down a closed street on 59th Street.

Obama stayed at the luxury hotel after attending the US Open last night in Queens. It is unclear where she was headed Saturday morning.

On Friday, hours before the iconic tennis tournament, Obama was seen heading to an Upper Westside apartment building, but it is unclear whom she was visiting.

Her 24-year-old daughter, Malia arrived at the building located on West 94th Street by an Uber 20 minutes later.

At the US Open that night, Obama dressed in a flattering lilac-colored pin stripe pant ensemble. She smiled as she made a pointing gesture in the stands as she enjoyed watching the semifinals match between Frances Tiafoe, of the United States, and Carlos Alcaraz of Spain.

Seated to the former first lady’s right is United States Tennis Association President, Michael J. McNulty III, and to her left is model, Jill Vedder, the wife of Pearl Jam’s, Eddie Vedder.

In 2018, the Vedders joined forces with Obama to encourage voting for the upcoming midterm elections. The married pair have been longtime supporters of the former First Lady and former President, Barack Obama.

Eddie Vedder performed during Barack Obama’s farewell address at the end of his presidency in January 2017.

Musician John Bon Jovi is seated a few rows behind the former First Lady. Jovi is seen watching the match intently.

Mariska Hargitay and Julianna Margulies were some of the other celebrities that attended last night’s annual event held at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center, located at Flushing Meadows–Corona Park in Queens.

Obama was in Washington D.C. on Wednesday to attend the unveiling of her and former president Barack Obama’s official White House portraits.

The ceremony took place in the East Room of the White House. The portraits were  commissioned by the White House Historical Association, The New York Times reported.

Artist Robert McCurdy painted the former president, and Sharon Sprung painted the former first lady.

Michelle Obama, who considered The White House her home for eight years, remarked during the ceremony that ‘it’s great to be back.’
