NAUSET

Avellar one-upped a superb sophomore year with an even better junior season with  27 goals and 12 assists. She was South Shore Sullivan Most Valuable Player and named to the Eastern Mass All-Star First Team. The midfielder now has 50 goals in her career going.

TESS BARRETT

COHASSET

Barrett had 55 points, with 31 goals to go with 24 assists. The South Shore League Tobin’s Most Valuable Player was an Eastern Mass All-Star First team selection. The sophomore promises to be one of the premier players in Massachusetts for the next two years.

GEORGINA CLARK

HOPKINTON

The Hopkinton junior attacking midfielder scored 21 goals to propel the Hillers to the Tri-Valley League Large championship. Clark scored six game-winning goals during the season including the tally that earned the Hillers their league title. The Tri-Valley League’s Most Valuable Player, Clark holds a verbal commitment to Boston College.

SYDNEY COMEAU

NOTRE DAME (HINGHAM)

Comeau scored 32 goals to go with six assists. The junior center forward now has 71 goals and 15 assists during her career. A member of South Shore Select 06 Girls Academy, Comeau is hoping to continue her playing career at the next level.

SYDNEY COX

BEDFORD

A strong senior year for the center back netted the Dual County League Foley’s Most Valuable Player. Cox tallied six goals and four assists. The two-time Eastern Mass. All-Star and honor roll student will continue her playing career at Fairfield University.

KYLIE DUMONT

MASCONOMET

Led by the senior center back’s play, the Chieftains earned 14 shutouts including 13-of-17 regular season games. The four-year varsity starter helped Masconomet compile 36 shutouts during her tenure. The three-sport athlete has been a member of the varsity basketball team since freshman year.

GABRIELLA FAINELLI

LEXINGTON

The junior was the Middlesex League Liberty Division’s Most Valuable Player. The defender scored three goals as a center back. Fainelli is also a Boston Herald All-Scholastic for indoor track.

SOPHIA FOLEY

HANOVER

Foley was the Patriot League Fisher Division’s Most Valuable Player as she scored 21 goals and added eight assists. The junior forward and attacking midfielder now holds a pair of Patriot League Fisher All-Star selections during her career to go with one for indoor track. Foley hopes to continue her soccer career in college.

MADDY GENSER

NEWTON SOUTH

Genser scored 14 goals and added nine assists to earn Dual County League All-Conference honors. A senior attacking midfielder, Genser finished her career as a three time all-conference selection. Also a three-time league All-Star for the basketball team, Genser is set to continue her playing career on both the pitch and court at Colby College.

KILEIGH GORMAN

BISHOP FEEHAN

The junior midfielder scored 23 goals with 21 assists. A United Soccer Coaches all-region team selection, Gorman now has 56 goals and 50 assists. A three-time Catholic Central League All-Star, Gorman hopes to play soccer at the collegiate level.

CAROLINE HOOD

NEEDHAM

Hood ended her career on a high note scoring 17 goals to earn Bay State Conference first-team honors. She finished with 33 goals and 30 assists. Hood led Needham to the Div. 1 Round of 16. The forward will play at the University of Miami.

SHEA KELLEHER

SILVER LAKE

Kelleher was the heart and soul of the Div. 2 state champions. The senior forward scored 25 goals and added five assists to finish her career as the all-time record holder for total points with 91 overall. A member of National Honor Society, Kelleher will playing at Sacred Heart University.

CHLOE KIRCHNER

NORWELL

Kirchner was the South Shore League Sullivan division’s Most Valuable Player as she scored 13 goals to go with 11 assists. A first team Eastern Massachusetts All-Star, Kirchner finished her career with 27 goals. The midfielder is also a member of Norwell’s varsity basketball and lacrosse teams.

SYDNEY KOFTON

BISHOP FEEHAN

Kofton helped the Shamrocks to the Div. 1 State semifinals as the senior scored 15 goals and added 11 assists. The Catholic Central League ‘s Most Valuable Player, Kofton scored a key goal in Bishop Feehan’s win in the state tournament over defending champion Natick. Kofton, who finished her career with 23 goals and 27 assists, will continue her playing career at the University of Albany.

MAYA MATHIS

ACTON-BOXBORO

Mathis was the premier player in the Dual County League in 2022 as the attacking midfielder scored 12 goals to go with six assists. The two-time league player of the year, Mathis finished her career with 31 goals and 19 assists. The honor roll student will play at the University of Connecticut.

DEIRDRE MCELHINNEY

NEWBURYPORT

McElhinney earned the Cape Ann League Kinney Division’s Most Valuable Player for the second consecutive season in 2022. The senior midfielder scored 10 goals and added 11 assists to finish her four-year career with 20 goals and 22 assists. McElhinney is also an all-league player on the basketball court and a member of National Honor Society.

CLAIRE MURRAY

HINGHAM

Murray helped lead Hingham to the Div. 1 state championship as she poured in 19 goals to go with nine assists. A member of the honor roll, Murray plays for South Shore Select on the club soccer circuit.

REAGAN MURPHY

WINCHESTER

The junior goalkeeper compiled 10 shutouts over 16 games to earn the Middlesex League Liberty’s Most Valuable Player and propel Winchester to the league title. The junior hopes to play collegiate soccer.

ELLA PISANI

KING PHILIP

Pisani was the top player in the Hockomock League in 2022 as she piled up 13 goals and 18 assists to take home league MVP honors. For her career, Pisani finished with 83 total points. A member of National Honor Society, Pisani is set to continue her playing career at Fairfield University.

SOPHIE REALE

HINGHAM

Reale led the Harborwomen to the Div. 1 State title as the senior scored 39 goals while racking up 13 assists. The UCLA signee finished her career with 87 goals, 45 assists, and a pair of state championship appearances. A member of National Honor Society, Reale enjoys skiing and surfing.

LILY ROSLONEK

DEDHAM

Roslonek had 18 goals and 12 assists to take home Most Valuable Player honors in the Tri-Valley League Small. The senior finished her career with 38 goals, 36 assists, and was a three-time league all-star. Also a member of the basketball team, Roslonek will playing at Stonehill College.

SABRINA SACCO

STONEHAM

The senior center midfielder was the Middlesex Freedom’s Most Valuable Player in 2022 while helping propel Stoneham to the Div. 3 State semifinals. The high honors student is also a member of Stoneham’s basketball and lacrosse teams. Sacco plans on continuing her soccer career at the collegiate level while majoring in elementary education and nutrition.

ASHLEY SHELDON

ANDOVER

Sheldon helped the Golden Warriors total 14 shutouts. Andover’s starting center back since freshman year, Sheldon earned Merrimack Valley Conference Most Valuable Player honors to cap her career with three all-conference selections. Also a track all-star, Sheldon will compete in both sports at Union College.

WAVERLY SUMMER

DOVER-SHERBORN

Summer was the top offensive threat in the Tri-Valley League, earning MVP honors. The two-time league all star is a high honors student. Summer is set to continue her playing career at Tufts University.

CECELIA WAGER

BROOKLINE

The senior center back took home the Bay State Conference’s Most Valuable Player award while also being selected as an Eastern Mass. first team All-Star. A member of National Honor Society, Wager is set to attend Vassar College.

LINDSAY WILSON

NOTRE DAME (HINGHAM)

Wilson scored 19 goals and added 22 assists to finish her career. A two time Catholic Conference all-star, Wilson will continue her playing career at William & Mary.
